Job Title: Office Manager (Temporary Immediate Start)
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester - Mainstream Secondary School
Contract Type: Temporary
Start Date: ASAP - Full Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to join our busy mainstream secondary school in Bury on a temporary basis with an immediate start. This is a key role within the school, leading a small administrative team while ensuring the smooth and efficient running of a fast-paced school office.

The successful candidate will be proactive, resilient, and confident managing competing priorities in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage and support a small administrative team

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy school office

  • Ensure effective communication between staff, students, parents, and external agencies

  • Maintain and manage pupil records and school data systems

  • Support senior leadership with administrative and organisational tasks

  • Manage admissions processes and attendance administration

  • Oversee office systems, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience in an Office Manager (or similar senior administrative) role

  • Experience working within a school environment

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively

  • High level of IT competency

Highly Desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of the Arbor school Management Information System (MIS)

Experience using the Arbor IT system will be hugely advantageous and candidates with direct Arbor experience will be prioritised.
