ED Scanning Clerk - BANK

This bank post sits in the Emergency Department scanning team at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, part of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The work centres on collecting paperwork from the department each day, then scanning and quality-checking it onto the EDMS and delivering case notes to the wards. The role also supports the secretarial team with ad-hoc tasks, Friends and Family questionnaires and departmental audits.

Candidates need to be able to lift and carry case notes.

• Collect paperwork from the Emergency Department each day
• Scan paperwork onto the EDMS and quality-check it
• Deliver case notes to the wards and trace them with patients
• Support the secretarial team with ad-hoc tasks
• Photocopy ED documentation to keep stock replenished
• Help with Friends and Family questionnaires
• Support internal departmental audits and data collection

• Five GCSEs at grade A-C or equivalent

• General office experience

• Excellent organisational skills
• Good verbal communication
• Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Microsoft Office experience, including Outlook

• Works well within a team and is motivated
• Physical ability to move and carry case notes and paperwork
• Flexible approach, good timekeeping and reliability

• Hospital IT systems experience
• Full driving licence
