About

The Role

We are looking to appoint an Energy Analyst to play a key role in the delivery of fixed and flexible price procurement tenders. The role can be based within our central Bristol or Blackpool office, with the option of reducing travel time and cost through hybrid working. The role involves responding to client queries, providing ongoing analytical and operational support, and fostering positive long‑term relationships with supplier partners.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver all aspects of fixed and flexible price procurement tenders, including development of tender files, liaising with suppliers, receiving and comparing offers, and presenting results to clients.
  • Manage client queries relating to invoice validation, COTs, termination notices and non‑commodity charges.
  • Complete project work as prescribed by the Head of Department, relating to product development and/or analytical methodologies.
  • Liaise directly with clients and suppliers to discuss TPC charges and current and future rates.
  • Oversee client accounts with an energy spend of up to £5m.
  • Mentor new and less experienced team members.
  • Keep skills up to date with developments in the role/expertise.
  • Convey real passion and belief in the business and support the drive to a net‑zero world.
  • Provide a contribution to continuous collaboration and innovation.
  • Support managers in the provision of Health, Safety and Wellbeing in the workplace.
  • Adhere to company policy, guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Act as a role model, work collaboratively, act professionally and enhance positive morale and well‑being at internal/external events.
Minimum Experience

Minimum of 1 year industry experience.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Understanding and ability to communicate fundamentals of wholesale markets, electricity, gas and water price drivers.
  • Knowledge of all TPC charges and their current rates, and an understanding of future changes.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy especially in analytical assessments and report writing.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with different stakeholders.
  • High IT literacy with proficiency in MS Office/Excel.
  • Willingness to travel on an occasional basis dependent on client requirement.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, both digitally and in person.

  • Open and approachable manner, backed up by high moral and ethical standards.
  • Passion for social or environmental issues.
  • Proactive attitude that brings drive, energy and passion to the role.

Benefits
  • Indicative starting salary range of £28,000‑£37,000 depending on skills and experience.
