Procurement Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high-calibre, strategic Procurement Manager to join a successful and rapidly growing food manufacturing business in North Manchester. The business is facing huge investment, has a proud heritage and impressive growth trajectory.

We are seeking an ambitious procurement professional with proven experience in the food manufacturing sector. You’ll bring strong capability in strategic sourcing, category management, NPD procurement, supplier development, and stakeholder engagement. You should be confident operating in a fast-paced environment, with a hands‑on approach and the ability to influence at all levels.

In this role, you will :

• Lead sourcing and negotiation across a broad range of ingredients, packaging, and indirect services
• Manage a small team
• Drive improvements in cost, quality, service, and innovation
• Develop and implement category strategies that support wider business objectives
• Work closely with Technical, Commercial, NPD and Supply Chain teams
• Build strong supplier relationships to enhance performance and deliver long‑term value
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met

About you :

• Strong strategic procurement experience within food manufacturing
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Demonstrated success in category management and supplier development
• Commercially astute, proactive and confident influencing stakeholders
• Self‑starter with strong project management skills
