Corporate Systems Assistant

Grade 6 £ 30,024 - £32,061

Are you detail‑oriented with an interest in technology and process improvement? Join our Corporate Systems team and play a key role in supporting the council’s digital transformation.

We’re looking for a self‑motivated Corporate Systems Assistant to help maintain and develop our corporate systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll play a key role in maintaining operations through consistent daily, weekly and monthly processes. Your attention to detail will ensure accuracy and reliability in essential workflows and provide opportunities to streamline processes and suggest improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the administrative processes associated with Council systems.
  • Regularly review and update existing processes.
  • Support system users across the council, including public-facing systems, and provide training when necessary.
Skills and Experience
  • Proficiency in operating a wide range of software systems.
  • Ability to resolve problems and work under pressure.
  • Capable of providing tutoring to fellow officers.
  • Excellent communication skills both with colleagues and the public and the ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable Attributes
  • Knowledge of council systems administration and services.
  • Knowledge of revenues and benefits administration.
