We are delighted to be supporting a well‑established and internationally active organisation in the appointment of a Group Commercial Assistant to join their Head Office team in Chorley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded and analytically strong individual who is looking to gain exposure at group level, working directly with senior leadership and supporting business activity across multiple international markets.

The role offers real breadth spanning commercial analysis, contract review, pricing strategy, stock modelling, sponsorship governance and performance reporting. It would suit someone who enjoys working with data but also wants their work to directly influence business decisions.

Working closely with the Group Head of Commercial & Operations, you will play a key role in supporting both new and existing commercial activity across the Group.

• Assessing the viability of new business partnerships and market opportunities
• Producing customer‑level financial modelling and territory analysis
• Supporting commercial decision‑making around new market entry

• Assisting in the preparation of new business proposals and tender submissions
• Reviewing pricing structures to ensure commercial sustainability
• Ensuring strategic alignment and margin protection

• Reviewing commercial performance across active contracts
• Monitoring profitability throughout contract terms
• Supporting pricing reviews in line with contractual provisions
• Analysing data to inform renewal discussions

• Overseeing financial control of sponsorship arrangements (rights fees, royalties, rebates and “gift”)
• Maintaining accurate company and client contract records

• Monitoring performance against budget
• Producing weekly and monthly reports for senior leadership
• Providing ad hoc commercial analysis for the CEO and Head of Finance
• Identifying and investigating pricing compliance shortfalls

• Supporting demand forecasting and purchase planning
• Assisting with company and client stock modelling
• Managing approval processes for underwritten stock

• Working cross‑functionally to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems and commercial processes

• Supporting annual GHG emissions reporting in partnership with third‑party providers

You will likely bring:

• Previous experience in a commercial, finance, or analytical role
• Strong numerical ability and commercial acumen
• Good IT literacy and confidence working with data
• The ability to interpret information and turn analysis into practical recommendations
• Experience supporting tender responses (advantageous)
• Experience reviewing or interpreting contracts (advantageous)

• Comfortable working independently and to deadlines

• Confident enough to suggest improvements where beneficial
