This is an opportunity to shape and scale CRM capability within a high-growth, investment-backed consumer business undergoing significant transformation. You will step into a newly created role with the chance to influence strategy while remaining close to delivery, working across modern martech and customer data initiatives.
The CompanyThey are a large and fast-growing UK-based retail group operating across a broad network of locations. The business is building out its CRM, customer insight, and data infrastructure capability from an early stage, offering genuine opportunity to make a measurable impact. Their operating model blends central strategy with local brand delivery, creating a unique and varied CRM environment.
The RoleYou will lead CRM strategy and execution while managing a small, experienced team. This is a hands‑on leadership role combining delivery with transformation work.
- Manage and develop a CRM team, including a team lead and CRM executives, with scope to expand the team
- Own and optimise end‑to‑end customer lifecycle journeys, including onboarding, retention, and product engagement
- Drive improvements in customer retention, purchase frequency, and overall customer value
- Oversee multi‑channel CRM activity across email, SMS, and direct mail, with scope to expand into additional channels
- Build and optimise automated customer journeys and campaign structures within marketing automation platforms
- Play a key role in CRM transformation and marketing automation maturity
- Support the rollout and optimisation of a new martech platform across multiple locations
- Collaborate closely with customer insight and data teams to leverage segmentation, targeting, and performance analysis
- Contribute to the development of a scalable, data‑led CRM strategy aligned with broader business growth
- Strong commercial experience leading CRM teams in a hands‑on capacity
- Proven ability to build, optimise, and execute end‑to‑end CRM and lifecycle campaigns
- Experience working with marketing automation platforms such as Bloomreach, Salesforce, or Hub Spot
- Confident working with customer data, campaign performance metrics, and lifetime value concepts
- Able to balance strategic thinking with detailed campaign execution
- Salary up to £55,000
