The Lancaster Medical School is seeking a Project Co‑ordinator to join the award‑winning team delivering the NIHR‑funded GRACE project, which develops new approaches and infrastructure to support decision‑making in radiotherapy for gynaecological cancer. As the project enters its final phase, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to a high‑profile programme of work and help deliver its final activities and outputs.
Responsibilities- Support the planning and delivery of the GRACE Festival of Gynaecological Cancer, scheduled for February 2027.
- Coordinate the flagship event in partnership with the Project Manager and the wider team.
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support, including coordinating travel and accommodation, managing diaries and meetings, liaising with procurement, tracking purchases, and supporting processing of fees and expenses for team members and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) contributors.
- Organise meetings and events, prepare and circulate papers and materials, arrange venues and refreshments, and take minutes where required.
- Work closely with colleagues at Lancaster and Bangor Universities to ensure efficient delivery of activities during the final stages of the project.
- Experience providing high‑quality administrative support, ideally within a university or research environment.
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, including members of the public.
- Confidence using a range of digital communication tools, including social media where appropriate.
This is a 0.4 FTE role, available immediately, funded until the end of February 2027. The position is part‑time and fixed term.
