School Business Manager

Parklands High School is recruiting a School Business Manager to lead its non-teaching administration, working alongside senior leaders and the wider multi-academy trust. The post covers budgets, payroll, procurement, HR administration, site facilities and health and safety. It is a permanent full-time role subject to probation, with term-time-plus working possibly considered for the right candidate. Fit turns on proven experience running complex budgets and administrative teams, and visa sponsorship is not available.

• Oversee budget management, financial reporting, payroll administration and procurement
• Manage supplier contracts for cost-efficiency and compliance
• Direct day-to-day administrative operations, health and safety compliance and site facilities
• Lead HR administration, including recruitment, onboarding, contractual processes and payroll oversight in line with trust policies
• Work with executive leadership and central trust teams on long-term strategic planning and operational sustainability

• Proven experience managing complex financial budgets, operational workflows and administrative teams

• Maintain composure, prioritise workload under pressure and use sound judgement when problems arise
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for engaging site staff, teachers, leaders and suppliers

• Strong commitment to continuous operational improvement and supporting the wider educational community in Chorley

• Experience with in an educational or public sector environment

• Flexible working, with term-time-plus arrangements considered for the right candidate
