Site Agent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent to join a major civil engineering and highways project in Blackburn. The scheme includes 278 works, roundabout relocation, carriageway widening, and the construction of a new compound entrance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour resources.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Monitor project progress and implement recovery measures where required.
Liaise with the client, stakeholders, local authorities, and utility providers.
Review and manage temporary works, traffic management, and construction methodologies.
Maintain accurate site records and reporting documentation.
Support commercial teams with progress updates and change management.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Agent within highways projects.
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and construction management principles.
SMSTS certification.
CSCS card.
First Aid qualification preferred.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple work fronts in a live construction environment.

Desirable

Experience delivering highway improvement schemes.
Knowledge of earthworks, drainage, road construction, and utility coordination.
