Carrington West are assisting a Local Authority in Lancashire with their search for a Class 2 Registered Building Inspector to join their Building Control team on an interim basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Inspector to support a busy Building Control service, undertaking a varied caseload of inspections and ensuring compliance with current Building Regulations and associated legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

· Carry out site inspections across a range of residential and commercial developments.

· Assess building works for compliance with Building Regulations and associated standards.

· Provide technical advice and guidance to developers, architects, contractors, and members of the public.

· Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records.

· Support the Building Control team in delivering an efficient and customer-focused service.

· Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with Building Safety Regulator requirements.
Requirements:

· Registered Building Inspector status with the Building Safety Regulator.

· Class 2 registration (A-D or above considered).

· Previous experience working within a Local Authority Building Control environment.

· Strong working knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Full UK driving licence preferred.
