Consultant Stroke Medicine

They are seeking a Consultant specializing in Stroke Medicine, available on either a substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis. This Trust is located in one of the most outstandingly beautiful countryside areas in Northern England, known for its relaxing and scenic environment.

This is a full-time position supporting sub-specialty interests. The department is open to providing specialty coverage through a departmental job plan if a strong candidate has interests aligning with the elderly medicine strategic vision of the Trust.

The acute stroke unit has 23 beds, and the stroke rehabilitation unit has 22 beds, with no long-stay beds.

• This is a 10.5 programmed activity (PA) post, with 8.0 PA for Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 2.5 PA for Supporting Professional Activities (SPA). There is a 1:6 weekend cover.
• You will join a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to making the Stroke Pathway a reference point of excellence in the Northwest and across the country.
