We are seeking dynamic and skilled clinicians to join our multidisciplinary Urgent Care team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that combines clinical autonomy with peer support. The post-holders will attend to patients presenting with either a booked appointment or an unscheduled care need,providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and advice on their continuing medical and care needs.
You will be working alongside a diverse and experienced team including General Practitioners, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Paramedic Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, and Trainee ACPs.This setting offers the perfect balance, empowering you to make independent clinical decisions while being surrounded by colleagues for support, case discussion, and shared learning.

Main duties of the jobYou will be assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of presentations including minor illness, minor injury, and pediatric conditions.
About usBlackpool Urgent Treatment Centres are services delivered by Bloomfield Medical Ltd.
Both Urgent Treatment Centres are open access services based in the Health Centre on Whitegate Drive and co-located with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Emergency Department. The Urgent Treatment Centres aims are to deliver convenient accessible primary care services and are open every day of the year. Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centre is open from 8am to 8pm and Blackpool Victoria Urgent Treatment Centre is open 8am 10pm.
The successful candidate will work acrossall sites, as required depending on patient demand, and the candidates skillsand experience.
Job responsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, treat,and advise patients presenting with a wide range of minor illness and injury presentations, ensuring safe, evidence-based, and person-centred care in linewith individual scope of practice.
Perform relevant clinical procedures, including collection of pathology samples and minor interventions,as trained and competent.
Ensure clinical practice remains safe, within scope, and escalated appropriately when limits are reached.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical records and documentation, using appropriate systems.
Keep up to date with mandatory training.
Contribute to patient flowby supporting appropriate streaming, clinical prioritisation, and safe throughput.
Person Specification Management and Leadership- Experience of developing clinical policies and procedures
- The ability to demonstrate understanding of the current issues affecting Primary Care services

- Registered Nurse or Health Care worker with professional registration.
- Extensive clinical experience within an unscheduled / urgent / primary care setting
- Specific skills in assessing and treating those with minor injuries and illness
- Non-medical prescribing v300 qualification
- Can demonstrate clinical assessment qualifications or Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification
- Masters level education, or equivalent
- Teaching qualification
- 5 years post registration experience.
- 3 years minimum experience with extensive practice in a Primary Care or an Emergency Care Setting with ideally with adults and children.
- Ability to take responsibility for the clinical care of all or specific groups of patients attending Bloomfield Medical Ltds portfolio of services
- Well-developed and honed clinical skills and proven ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
- IT and computer literate
- Experience of Adastra clinical computer system
- Experience of EMIS Clinical computer system
- Experience in independent X-ray Interpretation.
- Teaching Experience
- Transferable skills to work on GP triage if required.
