We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer focussed and digitally confident individual to join our library teams.

What You'll Be DoingAs a Library Assistant, you'll support the delivery of a high‑quality library and information service.
This Includes- Assisting customers with accessing digital resources and information.
- Supporting in the planning and delivery of events (e.g., author events, class visits).
- Engaging with customers to promote reading for pleasure.
You will be appointed to a library base(s), but there will be an expectation that you will work at other libraries as required. Hours of work are listed against the available posts and are a set working pattern over two weeks, see attachment for rotas.

- Fleetwood Library 7 hpw
- Kirkham Library 16 hpw
Our ideal person will be welcoming and friendly, have a love for reading and be passionate about sharing this. You will have excellent communication and digital skills, be able to work with a range of stakeholders and be able to deliver a customer focused service.

Interview ProcessThe interview process will be in two parts.
Part 1All shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day. This will last about 1 hr and involve:
- A meeting with a manager
- Tour of the library and explanation of duties
- Work‑related short assessments
All applicants attending the assessment day will be invited for interview.
Assessment Date: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, 3rd February – Cleveleys Library
Interview Date: 9th February – venue to be confirmed

Please note the salary quoted for this position is the full time equivalent. These positions are part time, therefore, the salary received will be paid on a pro‑rata basis.
