SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary Provision (Bolton) - BL1

Do you have proven experience working with SEND and challenging behaviour, and are you looking for a long-term, full-time role within a supportive primary setting?

We are currently seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming primary SEND provision in Bolton.

This is a long-term, full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils who require consistent, structured and nurturing support.

SEND Teaching Assistant

- The Role
  • Primary SEND provision based in Bolton
  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and challenging behaviour
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Assist pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement and wellbeing
  • Support learning across the primary curriculum
  • Monitor pupil progress in collaboration with teaching staff and the SEN team
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment
SEND Teaching Assistant - Key Information
  • Long-term, full-time role
  • Monday to Friday, school hours
  • Term-time only
  • Supportive senior leadership team and experienced SEN professionals
SEND Teaching Assistant - Person Specification
  • Must have previous experience supporting children with SEND
  • Must have experience managing challenging behaviour
  • Calm, patient and empathetic approach
  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Confident, resilient and proactive attitude
  • Team Teach training is desirable, or willingness to complete training
  • A positive role model with a supportive and nurturing personality
