An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Teacher of Chemistry to join a successful and supportive science department at a large secondary school in Blackburn. We are seeking a talented practitioner who can deliver high‑quality chemistry lessons across the secondary age range. The post is full‑time and fixed‑term, running from April 2026 to July 2026.

• Deliver engaging, well‑structured chemistry lessons that inspire and challenge students.
• Maintain high expectations of pupil achievement and demonstrate effective classroom management.
• Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive science team.
• Support the development of pupils’ scientific enquiry skills and their enthusiasm for science.

• Qualified teacher of Chemistry (QTS or equivalent).
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

All pay rates quoted will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
