Level 2 Teaching Assistant (KS2) - Blackburn

After Easter | 5 Days per Week | Term Time Only

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Blackburn, starting after the Easter break.

The Role

You will be supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 (KS2), working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups. This is a full-time position, 5 days per week, during term time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting teaching and learning across KS2
  • Delivering small group interventions in literacy and numeracy
  • Providing one-to-one support where required
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and resource organisation
  • Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate
  • Hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Have experience working within a primary school setting, ideally KS2
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be patient, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
