Lecturer in Motor Vehicle (FE Motorsports bias)

Salary: £39,505 plus £6,000 tax‑free FE Levelling Up Fund
Think FE are working with a well‑regarded college in Lancashire to recruit a Motorsport Lecturer to teach Level 3 and degree‑level students. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong motor‑vehicle background and a genuine interest in motor sport, whether that is Formula 1, rallying, track work, performance engineering or the wider racing industry. Previous teaching experience is not required – the college will support you through a Level 5 teaching apprenticeship, with protected weekly study time.

You will be joining a respected Lancashire college with an impressive reputation in motor sport education. ResponsibilitiesYou will teach Motorsport and related motor‑vehicle subjects to Level 3 and degree‑level learners, helping students build the technical, practical and professional skills needed for careers in the motor sport and automotive industries.
Qualifications- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle
- A genuine interest in motor sport
- Strong industry knowledge or practical experience
- A positive, supportive approach to learners
- Motorsport experience would be beneficial, but it is not essential
The process will include an informal chat, followed by a microteach and a formal interview. The interview will cover industry‑based questions, college values questions and safeguarding.
