This is a unique opportunity to move into teaching with a highly respected college in Preston, known for its outstanding student behaviour, high‑calibre learners, and exceptional reputation within the motor sport industry.

This role is very much open to industry professionals particularly those with experience in motor sport teams, operations, or management who want to step into a more balanced and rewarding career while staying connected to the industry.

The Role

You will deliver Motorsport courses to both Level 3 and degree‑level students, combining theory with practical, industry‑informed teaching. This is not just classroom delivery – you’ll be shaping future engineers, team members, and industry professionals, many of whom go on to work at the very highest levels of motor sport. The college has an outstanding track record, with former students progressing into elite roles within top‑tier motor sport teams, including Formula 1.

  • Industry experience within motor sport (e.g. rally, circuit racing, Formula 1 or similar environments)
  • Strong understanding of motor sport operations, with management and logistics experience highly desirable
  • A passion for developing future talent

Experience working within high‑performance or professional motor sport teams will be a significant advantage.

Teacher Training & Support
  • Fully funded Level 5 Teaching Qualification (apprenticeship route)
  • 1.5 hours per week of protected study time
  • Ongoing CPD and development opportunities
What’s in it for you?
  • Teacher Pension Scheme (28.68% employer contribution)
  • 42 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • £6,000 Levelling Up payment (tax free)
  • Time off in lieu for trips, race events, and open days
  • A highly supportive and collaborative environment
  • The opportunity to teach some of the most driven and capable students in the sector

Its alumni network speaks for itself, with former students progressing into elite roles across top motor sport teams at the highest level of the sport. This is a rare opportunity to step out of the high‑pressure motor sport environment while remaining closely connected to it, helping shape the next generation of engineers and team professionals.
