The Governors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant 2A to support the learning of children across EYFS and KS1. The role involves providing a mix of 1‑1 support, small group intervention and whole‑class support. This is a part‑time, term time only position; the salary quoted is full time equivalent and will be paid on a pro‑rata basis.
Key Responsibilities- When required, provide individualized 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, promoting engagement, independence and confidence.
- Implement tailored learning activities and interventions as directed by the class teacher and SENDCo.
- Support pupil’s educational, social and emotional development, adapting approaches to meet their specific needs.
- Build a positive, trusting and supportive relationship with pupils to promote wellbeing and consistent progress.
- Monitor, record and report on pupil progress, behaviour and engagement, contributing to reviews and target setting.
- Assist with the creation of personalized learning resources and contribute to the wider classroom environment.
- Support behaviour regulation strategies in line with school policies and individual support plans.
- Provide assistance during transitions, routines and, where appropriate, out‑of‑class or out‑of‑school learning activities.

- Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification.
- Mathematics GCSE or equivalent.
- English GCSE or equivalent.
- Experience supporting children’s learning in a school setting.
- Experience supporting the learning of pupils with SEND in a school setting.
