Position: Educator in Special Educational Needs

Overview

Location: WN8 Area (Lancashire)

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent (Part-Time Considered)

Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Educator to join a supportive and inclusive school based in the WN8 postcode area
. This role involves working closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and behavioural challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver tailored educational support to students with special educational needs
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning requirements
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to implement EHCPs
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress
Qualifications
  • Essential: Previous experience working within a SEN setting
  • Strong understanding of different special educational needs and support strategies
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Patient, empathetic, and committed approach
  • Relevant qualifications in Education, SEN, or Teaching Assistance (desirable but not essential depending on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
