Lecturer in Health and Social Care

Lecturer Scale points 23 - 37: £28,273 - £42,655 per annum gross pro rata

18.5hrs per week

As a lecturer you will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to the growth and development of the Health and Social Care programmes, including teaching vocational and technical qualifications from level one to level three. This includes focusing on retention, achievement and student success alongside pastoral support, curriculum design/development and ensuring a high standard of quality provision is offered. You will be invested in developing knowledge, skills and behaviours to equip students to begin work within the health and social care sector.

You should have the desire to maintain your sector knowledge through CPD opportunities and be prepared to attend back to industry days in order to support this.

• You should have a relevant Level 3 or above qualification, a recognised teaching qualification (or be currently working towards) and level 2 English and Maths.
• You will need experience of working in a Health and Social Care setting and of teaching Health and Social Care vocational and technical qualifications from level one to three.
• You will possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written and have the ability to motivate and inspire students.
