Year 6 Teacher - Full Time (Academic Year 2026/27)

Location: Burscough, Lancashire Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, fixed term for the academic year Pay: £168 - £215 per day (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Burscough area seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their team for the full academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who thrives on preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school, delivering engaging lessons, and achieving strong outcomes at the end of Key Stage 2.

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
• Prepare pupils for SATs and support them to reach their full potential
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience desirable)
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs expectations
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A passion for motivating and inspiring young learners
• A proactive and positive approach to teaching
