0.6 Lecturer in Hair and Barbering

£28,273 - £42,665 per annum pro rata

The Role

As a lecturer you will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to the growth and development of the Hair and Beauty programmes within the School of Customer Services Industries. This includes a strong focus on retention, pass rates and student achievement alongside pastoral support, curriculum design/development and ensuring a high standard of quality provision is offered.

What we are looking for
  • Minimum level 3 qualification in hair and a level 2 or above qualification in Barbering
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to obtain it within two years of employment
  • Experience of teaching across different levels of Hair and Barbering programmes in a Further Education environment
  • Current industrial experience and up-to-date knowledge of current industrial practice
  • A1 Assessors Qualification or equivalent and a V1 Internal Quality Assurance Award or willingness to work towards these qualifications
