We are currently recruiting for SEMH Teaching Assistants / Behaviour Support Workers to support schools across Skelmersdale starting September
. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
This is a rewarding role ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping them succeed both in and out of the classroom.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Assist teachers in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills
- Implement behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement
- Previous experience in SEMH, behaviour support, youth work, or similar settings is desirable
- A calm, resilient, and patient approach to challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
- Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
