Hays Education are proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Preston, part of a successful and supportive multi-academy trust, to recruit a Geography Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026 for the duration of one term.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed Geography specialist to join a thriving school community known for its strong leadership, positive ethos, and focus on student achievement.
The Role
As a Geography Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum expectations.
Inspire students of varying abilities to develop a curiosity and understanding of the world around them
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Contribute to the wider school community and uphold high standards of behaviour and learning

What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills
A passion for Geography and the ability to motivate and engage students
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
