Position: Secondary Teacher - Primary Learning Needs

Position Overview

Location: BB9 8LF

Position: Full-Time / Part-Time Available
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you a passionate and fully qualified teacher looking to make a real difference in young people's lives?

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to support students working at a primary learning level within a secondary school environment in the BB9 8LF
area

.

As a teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils who require learning activities tailored to primary curriculum levels. You will be committed to helping students achieve their full potential through creative teaching and a nurturing approach.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons adapted to individual learning needs.
  • Support students working below age-related expectations using primary-based teaching strategies.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN teams, and parents/carers.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Mandatory.
  • Experience teaching within a UK school setting.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Additional Experience
  • Experience working with SEND students.
  • Knowledge of primary curriculum frameworks.
  • Experience supporting learners with additional educational needs within a secondary setting.
