We are seeking to appoint a passionate, nurturing and experienced teaching assistant to support pupils with additional needs, specifically ASD and SEMH, in Year
1. This part‑time, term‑time position offers optional additional hours for the Welfare and Care Club. The school provides a strong Christian ethos, a supportive community and opportunities for professional development.
- Provide support for pupils with ASD and SEMH in Year 1.
- Care for all children and recognise their unique potential, regardless of barriers or challenges.
- Establish supportive and constructive relationships with staff, pupils, parents and carers to promote pupil progress and attainment.
- Maintain high expectations and demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
- Work well with external agencies to ensure personalised provision is effective.
- NVQ Level 2 or higher qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent).
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics.
- First‑Aid training.
- Safeguarding training.
- Working with children in EYFS or KS1.
- Supporting pupils with SEN.
- Working with children who have ASD, communication delay or SEMH needs.
This part‑time role is term‑time only; the salary quoted is full‑time equivalent and will be paid on a pro‑rata basis. The vacancy is temporary and subject to funding.
