Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work within SEN and SEMH settings across Chorley and Skelmersdale
.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Building strong, positive relationships with pupils
• Supporting students with communication, social interaction, and academic development
• Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals where required

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs (preferred but not essential)
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed
• Relevant qualifications or care/support experience would be advantageous
