Are you an experienced Behaviour Specialist with a passion for supporting young people with additional needs? Do you have the skills to build positive relationships, manage challenging behaviours, and help pupils reach their full potential?

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Specialist to work within a range of SEN and SEMH schools across Chorley and Skelmersdale
. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in education, youth work, residential care, mental health support, or behavioural intervention.

As a Behaviour Specialist, you will:

• Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Implement behaviour support strategies and individual behaviour plans.
• Act as a positive role model, helping students develop emotional regulation and coping skills.
• Support students who may display challenging behaviour, anxiety, trauma-related behaviours, or difficulties with social interaction.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

• Previous experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviours, SEN, or SEMH needs.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• A calm, resilient and patient approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
