SEND Advisory Officer

We wish to appoint a SEND Advisory Officer to work within the SEND Support Team in the Local Authority's Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Service in Blackpool.

Responsibilities
  • You will be working with Blackpool schools and other education providers to support and implement the SEND Code of Practice and Graduated Approach.
  • You will need a flexible approach to working with individual schools and pupils, promoting strategies to ensure inclusive practice and positive outcomes for all children with SEND.
Qualifications and Experience
  • You will need to have experience of working with SEND pupils within a school setting, conducting assessments, analysing assessment data and working with parents and other professionals in a co‑productive manner.
  • Experience of working with children or young people who have cognition and learning, communication and interaction and social emotional and mental health needs will be required.
