Overview

Are you a passionate Teacher of Religious Studies looking for your next opportunity in Blackpool, Lancashire? Vision for Education is working in partnership with a secondary school to recruit a dedicated Teacher of Religious Studies for a long-term role starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a lasting impact on students' learning and development.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Potentially teach some Key Stage 3 History lessons with all resources and support provided.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management to support learning outcomes.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies within a secondary school setting.
  • Ability to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Confidence to teach some Key Stage 3 History lessons with provided resources.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
