Overview

Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant – Full‑Time Long‑Term role. Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? We are looking for a caring and patient Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school, working with pupils who require additional support to access learning and achieve their individual goals.

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other additional learning needs.
• Adapt learning activities to suit individual pupils.
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour using positive reinforcement and consistent strategies.
• Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and social development.
• Assist with interventions designed to improve literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCO to implement personalised support strategies.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent UK school‑based experience within the last 2 years is essential.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• A calm, patient, and flexible approach.
