About the role

EdStaff are working with a number of SEND provisions and mainstream schools across the West Lancashire and Sefton areas and are already receiving requests for dedicated and experienced SEND Teachers for September.

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with smaller groups of pupils to support them in accessing a bespoke curriculum tailored to their individual needs. This role is suitable for teachers who are passionate about inclusive education and keen to play a key role in developing and strengthening SEND provision within schools.

You will be responsible for providing continuation of inclusive provision in the absence of members of staff, with roles ranging from short to long-term. You will create a positive learning environment and support both the academic and emotional development of pupils. You should be able to build strong relationships with both pupils and staff and efficiently integrate yourself into a school community.

  • A genuine commitment to supporting children with SEND
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Able to adapt learning opportunities to suit a range of needs
  • Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
  • A nurturing and caring approach
Essential requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
  • Able to provide references to cover the last 2 years
