Vision for Education are seeking for Trainee School Cover Supervisors to join our successful supply teaching team and work within our partnership local secondary schools across Blackpool and surrounding areas.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be expected to supervise pupils in the absence of a teacher, managing the class and ensuring that pupils remain on task with pre-set work.

You will cover classes across the full range of secondary school subjects, but don't worry, you are not expected to be a subject specialist in each area. The lesson will always be planned and provided in advance.

The key aspects of the Cover Supervisor role are:

• Facilitate the classes' learning
• Manage behaviour issues
• Record accurate registers
• Provide handover notes to the absent teacher

This role provides a great opportunity to gain experience of working within a Secondary school prior to applying to Initial Teacher Training. Although previous experience of working in a Secondary School is desirable it is not essential.
