The RoleWe are excited to announce an opportunity to join the Student Support and Wellbeing team as a Specialist Inclusion Mentor. This role plays a vital part in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) and Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities (LDD), enabling them to thrive in an inclusive, supportive, and empowering learning environment.
You will work closely with students, parents/carers, curriculum staff, and external agencies to design and implement tailored support strategies. Through proactive mentoring and skill‑building sessions, you will contribute to a culture of high expectations and inclusive practice across the College.
How You'll Make an Impact- Managing a personal caseload of students with SEND/LDD and coordinating their individual Student Support Plans.
- Delivering one‑to‑one and small group study skills sessions, both on‑site and online, using appropriate assistive technologies.
- Collaborating with curriculum staff and support services to ensure inclusive teaching and assessment strategies are embedded.
- Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on students’ progress and support impact through accurate record‑keeping and quality data.
- Supporting transition and assessment processes for new and existing students with support needs.
- Contributing to quality improvement processes and sharing best practices to promote inclusive learning across the College.
