Role Type: Continuous Role (Dependent on Continued Funding Approval)
Pay Rate: £14.25 - £16.00 per hour
Setting: Mainstream Primary School (Working Within a Specialist SEND Classroom)
We are recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a thriving mainstream primary school in Leyland, working within a specialist SEND classroom supporting pupils with a variety of additional learning and developmental needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and small-group SEND support.
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum effectively.
- Support communication, sensory, and emotional needs.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and specialist professionals.
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.
- Contribute to pupil progress monitoring and support plans.
- Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role.
- Understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive education practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive, nurturing, and proactive attitude.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Competitive hourly rate of £14.25 - £16.00.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
