Job Description
New Directions are on the lookout for motivated and passionate individuals looking to make a start in their education career. As this is an unqualified position we are happy to accept applicants with a health and social care background. We have a range of FREE CPD training courses, from Safeguarding to Autism Awareness, which will teach you the relevant skills and attributes necessary for supporting children in our schools.
Whether you are a recent graduate, looking for a career change, or have experience working with children in another setting, this long-term role based in Ormskirk, will allow you to develop your skills while making a real difference to pupils’ learning, confidence, and well-being. Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child feels encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Asa Trainee Teaching Assistant you will:
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff.
- Be encouraging and supportive.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs, ensuring they remain engaged and confident.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the student.
- Has a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
, as full support and guidance will be provided.
