GCSE Maths Tutor - Wigan
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting experienced GCSE Maths Tutors to support learners across Wigan!
The OpportunityAre you a qualified Maths teacher or experienced tutor looking for flexible 1:1 work?
We are looking for enthusiastic GCSE Maths Tutors to provide personalised tuition to secondary-aged learners who require additional support with their education.
You will work closely with individual students, identifying gaps in their knowledge and adapting your sessions to help them improve their mathematical understanding, confidence and exam preparation.

Wigan - Position: GCSE Maths Tutor
- Hours:
5-15 hours per week - Start Date:
September 2026 - Duration:

Qualifications:
- Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Maths
- Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculum
- QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable
- Previous 1:1 tutoring experience is advantageous
- Ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references
