Waterloo Lodge School is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged 11 to 18, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs across Lancashire, Manchester and surrounding areas. The school supports pupils who often arrive with a troubled view of education, guiding them towards academic and social progress while building confidence and pride in their achievements.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Maths Teacher to join our dedicated team. This permanent, term-time-only position is based at Waterloo Lodge School in Chorley, Lancashire, and begins in September 2026. The role involves 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, with a salary from £39,000 per annum depending on experience.

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Maths lessons that inspire pupils and support excellent progress.
• Plan and adapt learning to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND, autism and complex needs.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress, using assessment to inform teaching and celebrate achievement.
• Contribute to the development of an innovative and engaging Maths curriculum.
• Promote pupils' confidence, independence, wellbeing and positive engagement with learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, therapists and support staff to deliver a personalised learning experience.
• Teach across other curriculum areas where appropriate and support off-site educational activities when required.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every pupil can flourish.

• Qualified teacher with QTS and strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
• Passionate about supporting children and young people with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.
