The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including challenging behaviour, SEMH and complex SEND requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a positive difference to young people who may require additional support to engage with education.
The Role:- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Providing emotional, behavioural and academic support
- Managing challenging behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team
- Supporting pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence
- Previous experience working within a school, PRU or alternative provision setting
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH
- Confident managing challenging behaviour
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
