We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Intervention Support Worker to join our supportive team at our secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference to the lives of young people by providing targeted support to help them develop academically, socially and emotionally.
As an Intervention Support Worker, you will work with students who require additional support to access learning, improve their progress and build confidence. You will deliver targeted interventions, work with small groups and individual students, and support those who may be experiencing difficulties with their learning, attendance, behaviour or wellbeing.
Working closely with teaching staff, the SEND team and pastoral colleagues, you will help identify barriers to learning and provide tailored support to ensure students have the best possible opportunities to succeed.

* Supporting students to develop their confidence, resilience, independence and positive learning behaviours.
* Helping students overcome barriers to learning, including academic, social and emotional challenges.
* Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and relevant colleagues.
* Building positive relationships with students and encouraging engagement, participation and a positive attitude towards learning.
* Supporting students with additional needs, where appropriate, to access the curriculum.
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and families to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
* Promoting the school's values, high expectations and commitment to safeguarding.
