Manufacturing Project Engineer

We re hiring for a Project Engineer to join a specialist engineering business based in Blackburn.

This role would suit someone with a strong manufacturing or fabrication background who s comfortable being hands-on, overseeing builds and supporting installations on site.

What will you be doing as a Project Engineer?

• Managing engineering and manufacturing projects from build through to installation
• Overseeing fabrication, welding, and assembly work carried out by subcontractors
• Supporting site installations and commissioning across the UK
• Acting as the main engineering point of contact during manufacturing projects
• Reviewing engineering drawings and resolving build or production issues
• Producing basic quality documentation, reports, and build records
• Working closely with fabrication, welding, quality and design teams
• Travelling regularly to UK sites, with occasional overseas travel

What will you need?

• Strong background in manufacturing engineering, fabrication engineering, or production engineering
• Experience working with fabricated metal assemblies, sheet metal, or welded components
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
• Comfortable working on site and dealing with subcontractors and suppliers
• Confident communicating with engineers, supervisors and customers
• Willingness to travel across the UK (with occasional overseas trips)
