Overview
Technical Manager opportunity to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and ensures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The engineer positions must be proficient in core business and technical skills including compliance with established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- General laboratory support - Contract review, Reporting
- Development of new and existing capabilities - J1C, sub-zero testing etc
- Supporting progression into new industries - Nuclear, space etc
- Providing assistance to the commercial team
- Customer interaction
- Maintaining existing accreditations
- Create a plan to utilise PWA approval alongside the commercial team
- Daily support on zero defect and zero harm
- Any other duties reasonably requested
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety
- Possesses a depth of understanding and experiences which integrates the main areas of his/her chosen engineering field
- Also possesses advanced knowledge of the theories, principles and concepts of the disciplines
- Has a proven track record and ability to lead technology development of integrated technical solutions across Element capabilities globally
- Has an understanding of both internal and external capabilities which can be utilized to support and further business opportunities across Element
- Will have at least 15 years relevant experience post-degree or higher academic qualifications
- Is thoroughly knowledgeable of internal capabilities and understands external resources available globally
- In-depth understanding of testing concepts
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Frequency of required physical force:
Minimum (moderate) - Lifting requirements: lifting 50 lbs. on occasion
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs periodically
