Description
Deliver a wide range of technical surveys: stock condition, reactive, planned maintenance, HHSRS, asbestos, voids and quality assurance.
Produce specifications, drawings, priced schedules of work, Bills of Quantities and tender documents.
Support the procurement, management and monitoring of responsive, cyclical and capital works contracts.
Diagnose complex building defects, recommend solutions and certify completed works.
Conduct site surveys to inform future investment planning and develop multi‑year programmes.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant safety legislation, including CDM regulations.
Chair contractor meetings, track progress, and resolve emerging issues.
Engage with tenants, leaseholders and stakeholders throughout planning and delivery.
Maintain accurate data, update asset systems and produce KPI and performance reports.
Provide expert witness reports for property disrepair cases when required.
Investigate structural, fire‑damaged or complex building failures and provide recommendations.
Profile
A relevant qualification in Surveying, Construction, Building Studies or equivalent experience.
Strong technical knowledge of traditional and modern construction methods and common building defects.
Experience delivering a wide range of building surveys within social housing or a similar environment.
Knowledge of CDM Regs, HHSRS and current construction legislation.
Experience in tendering, scheduling works, contract administration and working with external contractors.
Ability to prioritise a varied workload, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication, customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with asset management systems.
A positive, solutions‑focused approach with strong attention to detail.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to work flexibly across sites.
