💰 Salary up to £42,000 + OTE £55,000 + Overtime

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Site-Based Engineer to join a specialist engineering team working on the installation, servicing, and repair of advanced 5-axis CNC machine tools.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong mechanical background who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and working within a customer-focused service environment.

The Role

Installation, servicing, and repair of 5-axis CNC milling machine tools
Fault finding, diagnosis, and correction of mechanical issues
Assembly, set-up, and dismantling of hydraulic, pneumatic, and large mechanical assemblies
Working independently on customer sites
Occasional travel and working away from home when required

The Ideal Candidate

Time-served engineer preferred
Previous experience working for a machine tool builder or within machine tool maintenance
Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Experience with in a field service or site-based engineering environment
Comfortable working independently with good communication skills
Experience working on 5-axis CNC milling machines is highly desirable

Package & Benefits

Salary up to £42,000 depending on experience
OTE £55,000 with regular overtime available
Annual company bonus
37.5 basic hours per week
Typical working week of 45 hours (including overtime)
Overtime paid at premium rate (1.25x)
