We have a rare opportunity to bring on a CAD Technician with a growing client who produces products for the space and defence sectors. Established now for over 30 years; you’d be joining them in a period of growth, looking to embed the next generation of engineering talent amongst their team.
Reporting into the Mechanical Engineering Lead, you’ll be a critical bridge between design engineering and manufacturing, where you’ll translate engineering markups into existing 3D models, help manage project life cycles and create technical documentation, i.e. manuals and data sheets.
Day-to-day responsibilities- 3 years + experience as a CAD technician, document controller or technical illustrator within a manufacturing and engineering environment
- Proficient with Solid Works, data management systems, technical writing and documentation
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- Technically proficient with Adobe in Design and able to read schematics/wiring diagrams
- Industry background: aerospace, defence, satcom, structural steel, heavy precision
