Interim Senior Management Accountant

The Interim Senior Management Accountant role supports in driving forward projects, achieving business objectives and leading the team to success. The role involves cross-department collaborations, interacting with senior stakeholders, financial reporting and implementing process improvements.

• Cross-department collaboration inclusive of attending and speaking in business meetings, presenting in front of colleagues and knowledge sharing
• Monthly / Quarterly / Annual reporting preparation & consolidation
• Project work involving creating, leading or supporting projects
• Performing management accounting duties with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Monthly management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Posting key journals entries
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
• Identify areas of improvement and implement robust processes
• Support with financial internal & external auditors
• Assist with year-end statutory accounts
• Develop and maintain robust processes and controls in line with Group requirements
• Ensure consistent documentation of tasks and activities according to internal policies

• Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proven experience in management accounting within the retail industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
