The Role As a Data Analyst focused on fraud and financial crime, you will sit at the heart of reporting and insight generation, supporting risk teams with high-quality analysis. Your responsibilities will include:
Extracting, manipulating and analysing large datasets using SQL to support regular reporting and ad hoc analysis. Producing clear, accurate MI, KPIs and KRIs that support fraud and financial crime monitoring. Identifying trends, patterns and anomalies across the customer lifecycle that may indicate fraud or financial crime risk. Translating data into clear written insight, explaining what the data shows and why it matters.
Building and maintaining dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI or similar tools. Working closely with fraud operations, risk, compliance and data teams to ensure insight is well understood and acted upon. Supporting documentation and reporting required for governance, audits and regulatory review. Your Skills and Experience You will bring:
Strong commercial experience as a data analyst, with advanced SQL used for data extraction and analysis. Proven capability in building and maintaining clear, reliable reporting for business stakeholders. Experience working with large datasets in a regulated or risk-aware environment. The ability to communicate insight clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. A genuine interest in fraud, financial crime, risk or compliance, with a desire to develop specialist knowledge in this area.
Experience with Excel, Power BI or other visualisation tools. What They Offer You will receive a competitive salary between £40,000 and £42,000, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
