An established and growing wealth management organisation is seeking an experienced Corporate Actions to join its Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate actions specialist who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, sharing knowledge with colleagues, and acting as a trusted expert within a highly regulated financial services environment.

The Opportunity

As the role in Corporate Actions, you will be the technical authority for complex and high-risk corporate action events, supporting both operational delivery and the ongoing development of the wider team. You will play a key role in interpreting complex event documentation, managing escalations, improving processes, and ensuring corporate actions are processed accurately, compliantly, and within market deadlines.

This position would suit an experienced professional from a wealth management, private banking, custody, or investment operations background who is looking to utilise their expertise while helping to develop others.

Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise & Corporate Actions Processing
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex and non-standard corporate action events.
  • Manage and process complex voluntary and mandatory events including:
    • Tender offers
    • Mergers and acquisitions
    • Demergers
    • Schemes of arrangement
    • Re-domiciliations
    • Corporate restructurings
  • Interpret issuer documentation, offer terms, circulars and market announcements.
  • Determine client eligibility, restrictions, election requirements and settlement treatments.
  • Ensure accurate event setup, instruction management and custodian submissions.
  • Manage high-risk events within strict market deadlines.
Training, Coaching & Knowledge Sharing
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Corporate Actions colleagues.
  • Deliver on‑job coaching and mentoring.
  • Support the development of procedures, guidance notes and training materials.
  • Act as the team's go‑to expert for complex event queries and escalations.
Risk, Controls & Compliance
  • Identify and escalate operational, regulatory and reputational risks.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Support a UK and Channel Islands wealth management business.
  • Maintain awareness of market restrictions, solicitation rules and relevant tax considerations.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Support system enhancements and testing activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Corporate Actions function.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Significant Corporate Actions experience (typically 5+ years).
  • Strong hands‑on experience handling complex, voluntary and high‑risk corporate actions.
  • Experience interpreting issuer documentation and applying it within an operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of custody operations and market‑level processing.
  • Experience working within wealth management, private banking, investment operations or custody environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to non‑specialists.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience using Avaloq or a similar custody/core banking platform.
  • Knowledge of UK wealth management regulations and operational risk controls.
  • Understanding of Crown Dependency regulatory considerations.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
